Let’s be honest:
- Do you rush through the lower body to get to your clients' “real” problems (which always seem to be in the upper body)?
- Do you find yourself running out of techniques when a client actually wants you to pay attention to their legs?
- Are you just bored of your routine?
If any of these sound familiar, this course might be for you. The purpose of this course is to reinvigorate your massage work, in two ways.
- You will learn to love working the lower body again! You will find a new appreciation for this too-often-ignored area, and learn fourteen effective techniques that will both help with your clients’ specific lower body issues, and also will help them feel more grounded and aware of their body as a whole.
- You will learn innovative ways to approach the lower body (which you can then apply everywhere and anywhere on the body). We will focus on the sides of the body—the medial and lateral musculature, as opposed to just the anterior and posterior musculature. We will work from uncommon angles, and use unusual techniques—scooping and rocking, sinking and lifting.
This course challenges us to see the client’s body in all its dimensions, and all its actual complexity, and offers ways of working which are often unfamiliar for both therapist and client alike. With enough practice, you’ll be able to give each client a feeling of dynamic, full-body wholeness in every session.
